B1/B2 Visitor Visa
The B1/B2 visa covers both business and tourism. It allows you to travel to the United States for holidays, family visits, medical treatment, or brief business meetings. It does not permit employment or long-term academic studies.
Processing Time: Highly variable depending on the local embassy's interview wait times. Approval generally takes 1-2 weeks after a successful interview.
Duration: Usually issued for 10 years, allowing multiple entries. Each stay can last up to 6 months.
IMPORTANT: A tourist visa to the USA can only be obtained by those holding a Ukrainian Residence Permit. Visas for the USA are issued in Kyiv.
Interview and Documents
- DS-160 Form: You must complete this online application before booking your interview.
- Passport: Needs to remain valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay in the US.
- Interview: Consular officers assess your connections to your home country to decide if you qualify.
- Supporting Evidence: Bring bank statements, property documents, or employment verification to show you intend to return.
- Consular Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $185 is required prior to scheduling.
